How do I organise a therapy session?

To make it easy for you, Rise Beyond Betrayal has an online booking system that allows you to make and manage your appointments. Just click on this link and it will take you to the Client Portal where you can book an appointment.

What should I expect in my first session?

Your first session provides an opportunity to explore the reasons you are seeking counselling, your personal history, and, if you are attending couples therapy, your relationship history. For both individuals and couples, a comprehensive assessment process, which may include online self-assessments, is typically completed over three sessions to develop a tailored treatment plan aligned with your specific needs, goals, and circumstances.

We recommend attending weekly sessions initially to complete the assessment process and develop a tailored treatment plan. Once this is established, the frequency of sessions can be adjusted to suit your individual needs, circumstances, and goals.

How often will I need sessions?

Is counselling done face to face or via Telehealth?

Individual and group sessions are available exclusively via Telehealth. Appointments follow AEST (around April 5 – October 4) and AEDT (around October 5 – April 4). If you are in a different time zone, please select your current time zone below your country in your profile details on the portal when booking. This will ensure your appointment time is scheduled at the correct local time.

Will I need a referral?

You do not need a referral from a Medical Practitioner to attend Rise Beyond Betrayal for counselling.
